The study of Marc Jacobs, I have concluded the way of its use of colors, which are based on,
1 Monochromatic Color Scheme
2 achromatic color scheme
3Complimentary Color Scheme
4 Analogical color scheme (e.g. Red, Violet, Blue)
The balance of color and the harmony of color are both important to develop the image and aesthetic of the clothes. I also find that the use of color of this brand could be repeatable, about 4 or 5 seasons per cycle, and continuing the current colors into the coming season. For example: The some color families are cycled every four to five years. For instance, the color family of 06 S/S is very close to those in 02’s S/S. Similar phenomenon can be observed between 08 S/S and 03 S/S, too.
The style of its designs is in simple silhouette. In general, not less than 4 different colors can be found on each outfit.Marc Jacobs is an influential brand in fashion world. Its use of color is influenced by the local culture-American or political affair in a certain level. The environments can bring the ideas or the limits to the designer.

Colour in every Marc jacobs collection
Checking and looking Marc Jacobs collevtions and marking down each design were used what colur and highlighting the most groups of colour used.

After recorded the notes,we could easily to find that exactly the colour black,marc jacobs liked to use it into his design,whatever spring/summer or autrum/winter,"black"s usually existed in the runway.There was nothing to doubt that black was the most important colour in fashion.It was because black was simply,nature and easy to match with other colour.When you walked in the street,you definitely were conscioued of Black"black"black and black.
White and grey were friends of black.They were in a family and when they grouped together,people felt comfortable .if people weared "black,white,grey"style,it is a safe style.it was not easy to come out the mix and match problem.So that,some of the designers liked to use that way to design their idea.However,i thought it maybe too safe to do the creative work.Designers should take a risk of using amazing colur theme.Perhaps it was adventive ,but it was creative.
Marc Jacobs used the artful pattern and materials.they were luxurious and made your eyes feel hazy.The colours attracted your attention and you would never forget the vision in the shows.
Except black,white and,i thought purple,blur,red used frequetly in Marc Jacobs.However,different tints ,hues,shades or other things related to the colour would bring the different effects in he fashion.Also, the materials of the garments could bring the special outlook of the design works.
Not only the personal habits and individual views to effect the colours of the designs ,but also the ambient envionment around the designs.Of cause the news of the earth ,the events of the courtries and the designers's idol also had the ability to change and bring the ideas and main ways of design works.
