The red and camel is a set of analogous colors that is using two or more adjacent hues on a color wheel plus variation of value and intensity. It maintains the fluidity of monochromatic matching with more variety and energy.
Black and white are achromatic colors, in this case they are used to create values (tints and shades) for the red and camel through the weaving structure.

For those who doesn't know,
Burberry is a British luxury fashion house,
manufacturing clothing and fashion accessories.
Its distinctive check pattern has become one of its most widely copied trademarks.

Marc Jacobs Runway Report: Backstage Beauty Tips and Fashion Tricks

Continue talking Marc Jacobs Fall 2009.

The shoes were punky and fun; think urban edgy wrapped up in a pretty bow.

I am trying to be cool about attending the Marc Jacobs show in the internet but OMG-- I was at Marc Jacobs! MJ showed an ambitious 60 looks on 60 models in a somber and sparse set up. Eschewing the typical runway with multiple rows of seats on each side-- there were 7 single rows instead that created 4 walkways; which meant everyone was front row! Each model had a different hair style and distinct make up. Not only did I love the neon bright coats and dresses, I was obsessed over the sparkling tights and leggings! The '80s are back in full force with Grace Jones shoulder pads and Pat Benator eyeshadow. Though a bit overstylized, it made for a fabulous show! It was clear, however, that the separates will hold up long after the stiffly sprayed hair falls. I grew up in the 80's and seeing this collection excited me to no end.
As for the bags, MJ kept it simple and basic with more renditions of "Marc does Chanel" than we've ever seen.

London Fashion Week

what i love :

Aquascutum (Aquascutum RTW Fall 2009)

Outerwear stole the show in this luscious collection. Trench coats came adorned with fur or lace collars and coats boasted the richest of details, including contrasting lining, crocheted pockets and hoods, and even embroidery. This was Michael Herz's first solo effort at the label after his design partner Graeme Fidler left to dedicate himself to Aquascutum's men's wear. And he hasn't missed a beat. In this new age of discreet consumption, Herz turned out a collection that was utterly luxe, but didn't scream it.

Eley Kishimoto(Eley Kishimoto RTW Fall 2009)

Mark Eley and Wakako Kishimoto relied more upon bright colors - and details like contrasting piping, patch pockets and shiny buttons than on their signature prints. A-line dresses and boxy suits came in periwinkle, blood orange, hot pink and violet. The most interesting prints were big and bold - oversized quotation marks or paisley swirls and they spilled over fluid silk dresses and blouses.

Vivienne Westwood Red Label(Vivienne Westwood Red Label RTW Fall 2009)

Naughty boarding school girls – and wicked headmistresses – were Westwood’s inspiration for a very commercial collection. Collegiate navy and oxblood stripes found their way onto blazers, dresses and capes, and oversized chunky knits were big enough to hide a multitude of cigarettes and alcoholic beverages. Saucy tartan dresses and short, swingy skirts flirted with dress code violations.

NY Fashion Week

Here are a few of my favorite picks from NY Fashion Week. I must admit that I'm guilty of skimming over the collections and just looking at my usual favorites. Since I'm already thinking about spring, it's a little hard to wrap my head around these looks right now. I'm saving them all in a folder and I'll dig them back out in a few months once fall comes around again. Since I've been lazy about flipping through all of the collections are there any I'm missing out on? Anything new and exciting?

Marc Jacobs Fall/Winter ‘09

“Oh No!!! Not the Eighties..,” was my reflex reaction to the 80’s trend percolating back into mainstream fashion a few years ago. And ever since, eighties have been reinvented, refurbished, replayed, season after season. But never before has it been done in the way Marc Jacobs showcased it today. 65 distinct creative croon-worthy looks, donning crazy hairstyles and interesting make up, walked down the runway giving the 80s a pumped up new angle.
Marc Jacobs remembered the 80s as a time “when creative people could afford to live in this city.” He said, “The collection is all about clubbing in the 80’s, when New Yorkers could have fun, be creative. Not like now…”
Accordingly, the powerful personal styles embodied by his models made a lasting statement. Even though 80’s have been done so many times now, there was nothing boring here. The tailoring was impeccable, the silhouette modern yet nostalgic. His creative take on the 80s reminds us fashion is to reinvent.
