Tina Chow (1951–January 24, 1992) was an internationally renowned model and a fashion icon in the 1980s. She was also a member of the International Best Dressed List.
Chow was born Bettina Louise Lutz; in Lakeview, Ohio. Her father, Walter E. Lutz, was of German descent, while her mother, Mona Lutz, was Japanese. Her sister is actress Adelle "Bonnie" Lutz.
In 1972, Tina married Michael Chow, who owns the Mr. Chow restaurant chain. During her model career she was photographed by Cecil Beaton and Arthur Elgort.
They have two children, a daughter named China and son Maxmillian. China, born in 1974, is a model and an actress. Maxmillian was born in 1977.
Michael and Tina Chow were among the most famous New York celebrities, making many friends among the Big Apple's art world, including Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Julian Schnabel, Mary Boone, and Henry Geldzahler. She was also a friend of Paloma Picasso and Manolo Blahnik. During an estrangement from Chow, she had affairs with Richard Gere and a bisexual French fashion arbiter Kim d’Estainville. From d’Estainville, she contracted HIV, becoming one of the first heterosexual women to become infected with the disease that would eventually end her life.
An Asian-American, Chow represented the new diversity and universalism of modern beauty, but her fashion intelligence was even greater than her beauty. One of the most important collectors of couture clothing, Chow's practised eye is still regarded as the paradigm of collecting and connoisseurship. Chow knew the great designers of her time, but demonstrated her interest in the past by choosing works of Madeleine Vionnet, Cristóbal Balenciaga and Christian Dior for her astute collection. Her initial collecting interest was Mariano Fortuny, whose 'Delphos' dresses, capes and mantles were a syncretist interpretation of East and West.
Her couture collection was sold in 1993 by Christie's in New York.
Tina died of AIDS on 24 January 1992 at the age of 41; she spent her last days at her home in Pacific Palisades, California

It is undeniable that there are not many fashion designers who can be recommended easily by the Hong Kong people. It seems people would not be interested in the brand from Hong Kong. It is because they would associate these brands with reproductions, bad quality and "cheap”. Cheap do not mean the price, it means the low class people prefer to choose local brand but the high class people prefer to choose international brands.
The concept is wrong. Hong Kong fashion designers have their national culture, special creation and personal experience. It must have some points to support that we should support our local brand.

Dorian Ho
He obtained his bachelors degree in marketing at Boston University in the United States. Prior to his joining the family business, which produces knitwear for major international brands such as Donna Karan and Calvin Klein and at which he served as an in-house designer, he worked for the Australian fashion Label "Country Road".
Dorian established Doriano International Ltd in 1993 and launched his first label "Doriano". "Doriano" is a highly regarded contemporary ladies' fashion label in Hong Kong and China with more than 50 retail outlets throughout the country. His label is now sold in Lane Crawford in Hong Kong, Pois in Singapore and Saks Fifth Avenue in New York.
He is Dorian Ho whose young eponymous label for after-office hours is now sold in Lane Crawford in Hong Kong, Barneys Japan in Tokyo and Saks Fifth Avenue in New York among other leading retail destinations.
Created in 2001 by the Boston University marketing graduate, the Dorian Ho Collection made its international debut on both sides of the globe that year, at the Mercedes Australian Fashion Week in Sydney and at New York’s Seventh on Sixth.
Eschewing the position and power that is his birthright had he taken over the family firm —which manufactures for global brands such as Donna Karan and Calvin Klein — Ho chose instead to “intern”, upon his return to Hong Kong, at the Australian label Country Road before creating his own Doriano label for China in 1993.
He sold it 10 years later to raise the capital for his high-octane Dorian Ho evening collection for the bewitching hours after the sun sets. In response to the overwhelming acknowledgment from the fans, he launched his bridal gown collection in November 2005 as well as opening his first wedding concept store – Dorian Ho Wedding – marking an important milestone on his fashion career.
“I made my niche evening gowns because it is dominated by European names when Asians also have a winning formula for nights out which is dazzling feminine and alluring,” he said.
During November 2006, he is being awarded and being invited as the designer representing Hong Kong in showing his couture collection ‘Chandelier’ especially designed for the Moët & Chandon's Tribute to Asian Fashion Designers
In January 2008, Dorian Ho Collaborated with UPS to create a collection inspired by Equestrian titled Riding on UPStyle (Dorian Ho x UPS).

Colour in every Marc jacobs collection
Checking and looking Marc Jacobs collevtions and marking down each design were used what colur and highlighting the most groups of colour used.

After recorded the notes,we could easily to find that exactly the colour black,marc jacobs liked to use it into his design,whatever spring/summer or autrum/winter,"black"s usually existed in the runway.There was nothing to doubt that black was the most important colour in fashion.It was because black was simply,nature and easy to match with other colour.When you walked in the street,you definitely were conscioued of Black"black"black and black.
White and grey were friends of black.They were in a family and when they grouped together,people felt comfortable .if people weared "black,white,grey"style,it is a safe style.it was not easy to come out the mix and match problem.So that,some of the designers liked to use that way to design their idea.However,i thought it maybe too safe to do the creative work.Designers should take a risk of using amazing colur theme.Perhaps it was adventive ,but it was creative.
Marc Jacobs used the artful pattern and materials.they were luxurious and made your eyes feel hazy.The colours attracted your attention and you would never forget the vision in the shows.
Except black,white and,i thought purple,blur,red used frequetly in Marc Jacobs.However,different tints ,hues,shades or other things related to the colour would bring the different effects in he fashion.Also, the materials of the garments could bring the special outlook of the design works.
