General description of this fashion show

Marc Jacobs Spring 2007 fashion show during

Olympus Fashion Week at the N.Y. State Armory

September 11, 2006 in New York City

With a palette of white, black and gray designer Marc Jacobs presented a somewhat romantic and whimsical Spring-Summer 2007, Marc Jacobs Collection.

The designer played with shapes and threw in the Spring-Summer 2007 metallic must
Jacobs says he was attracted to different kinds of fabric, synthetic, gauze, muslin and linens. The designer also played with fabric weight, making heavy fabrics appear light and light fabrics appear bulky.

Tim Blanks of Style.com points out an Arabian feel which Marc says was intentional "I really like low rise and when you bring the pants crotch to the floor you get that Arabian quality"
I guess that would be hot to sleep in....
Marc Jacobs' cult status should stay intact with the T-shirt dresses and the bags - metallic leathers and exotic skins studded with crystals.

"Marc Jacobs continued to explore the layered on look he introduced last fall, only this time with a lightness of touch that was both whimsical and breathtakingly beautiful. Ever the master of reinvention, he even managed to make khaki glam, pairing it with iridescent sequined tops and his new must-have bags bedecked with giant jewels." —JANE KELTNER
